Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information SiteLitmus ("SiteLitmus," "we," "us") collects when you use our website and the address-screening tool at sitelitmus.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately plain.

What we collect
- Addresses and project details you enter. To screen a site, you provide a street address and optional project inputs (load, system size, use case). We process these to resolve the serving utility and generate your feasibility result.
- Email address, if you provide one. When you request a project screen, submit the contact form, or ask to be kept posted, we collect the email you give us so we can deliver results, respond, or send the updates you requested.
- First-party usage events. We record basic, first-party analytics (for example: a page was viewed, a screen was run, a call-to-action was clicked), along with the page path and referrer. This helps us understand what's useful and fix what isn't.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and protect the service.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or ad networks. Analytics are first-party.
- We do not require an account or login to run a screen.
How we use information
- To run the screen you requested and return a result.
- To respond to messages and deliver reports or updates you asked for.
- To operate, secure, debug and improve the service in aggregate.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Where data is stored
The service runs on cloud infrastructure in the United States (our application host and, when enabled, a managed Postgres database). We retain the minimum needed to operate the service and respond to you, and we work to delete or anonymize what we no longer need.
Cookies
SiteLitmus does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage we use is limited to what's needed for the site and app to function (for example, remembering that you dismissed a notice, or a session token for the screen you're running).
Your choices & rights
You can use the free facility screen without giving us an email. If you've shared personal information and want to access, correct, or delete it, email us and we'll act on reasonable requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA; we honor those requests.
Children
SiteLitmus is a business tool and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product and our practices change. When we do, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide a clearer notice.
