Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the SiteLitmus website and the address-screening tool at sitelitmus.com (the "Service"), operated by SiteLitmus ("we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What SiteLitmus is — and isn't
SiteLitmus produces screening-grade feasibility estimates from public data to help you decide which sites deserve deeper study. Every result is confidence-scored and dated, with its method and source shown. Results are not:
- a utility commitment of interconnection or capacity;
- a stamped engineering design, and the preliminary single-line is a draft requiring review and stamp by a licensed Professional Engineer before any submittal;
- legal, tax, financial, appraisal, or investment advice; or
- a substitute for a utility study, site survey, title report, or the determinations of the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
Always confirm site-specific items with the utility, the AHJ, and your own qualified advisors before committing capital.
Provided "as is"
The Service and all results are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Public data sources change and can contain errors; we do not guarantee that any result is complete, current, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SiteLitmus and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or business decisions made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim, or US $100.
Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, or access it through automated means beyond ordinary use without our permission.
- Don't use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
- Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the underlying data or results except as your own site-diligence work product.
Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and original content are owned by SiteLitmus and protected by applicable laws. Underlying public data (for example, utility tariffs, FEMA, EPA, USGS, and similar sources) belongs to its respective providers. You keep ownership of the inputs you provide and the results you generate for your own use.
Pricing & beta
During the founding-user beta the Service is free. Any paid plans described on our pricing page are indicative and take effect only if and when we begin charging, with notice. We may change features, limits, or pricing as the product develops.
Changes & termination
We may update these terms; when we do, we'll revise the date above, and material changes will be noticed more prominently. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SiteLitmus is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (We'll name the specific jurisdiction here as the company's formation is finalized.)
